Fig trees are one of the easiest to grow plants in our area. Many varieties to choose from. We guarantee all our cultivars. All our figs were originally sourced from reputable sellers only. Fig growing tips:
 
Full sun when planted in ground. In containers, shade at 100F+ to keep them looking nice through the summer months. Sun will not kill your fig.
No winter protection in our area (Arizona). Anywhere else, it depends on variety. Normally, you will need to protect if your temperatures drop in the single digits.
Growth rate: In ground figs can take 1-2 years to fully establish themselves in ground. In containers, they grow very slow compared to in ground. No top growth is normal for the first 1-2 years. Once your tree roots itself in ground, it will grow like a weed.
Root system: Invasive root system. Roots tend to gow down and out. Keep away from sewage pipes, walkways, etc.
Structure: Figs are shrubs naturally. They can be pruned as trees if desired. Shrub structure will yield the most fruits.
Water: Shallow water first summer in ground. Once the tree is established, deep water. (Video coming soon on this topic).
Container grown: We don't recommend growing figs in containers long term. Will they grow?. Yes they will but they don't perform nearly as well as being planted in ground.
How to plant: Check for drainage then plant in 50% compost and 50% your native soil, done. Figs are easy, don't over think it :).
